Hands-on research - visit by students from Heidelberg University to the TERENO station in Fendt

On 20.03.2024, seven students from Heidelberg University's Master's degree course in Geosciences had the opportunity to get to know the long-term grassland observation experiment at the TERENO site in Fendt in bright sunshine as part of the Anthropocene excursion and field exercise "Atmosphere, Water, Energy" led by Prof. Frank Keppler. The tour was led by David Piatka. In addition to an interesting exchange with the students on the topic of grassland soil health and greenhouse gas emissions under the influence of management and climate change, the visit to a lysimeter maintenance shaft was a particular highlight.
