Exploration tour in Franconian Switzerland

In the third phase of SUSALPS we will to address the regionalisation of our work. In addition to the Ammer region, we will look at two other study areas - the Roter Main/ Weißer Main region and the Rott region. This means that for our remote sensing analyses we also need new reference sites in the two regions. At the end of September, a team from KIT and WWL went to Franconian Switzerland to look for suitable areas together with colleagues from the University of Bayreuth. With the help of a local farmer, we found some interesting sites near Bayreuth and were able to carry out a first test campaign with the drone.
