Preserving high mountain pastures - re-grazing the Brunnenkopfalm

The Brunnenkopfalm in the nature reserve Ammergebirge was one of the many abandonned high mountain pastures in the Alps. Within the framework of SUSALPS, we started to re-use the Brunnenkopfalm again in 2018. In our research project, we are investigating with a variety of partners how re-grazing affects the soil, plant and animal biodiversity, and water quality. Michael Dannenmann briefly presents the re-grazing project in this video.
