SUSALPS at the virtual EGU

The corona pandemic, like so many other areas of our lives, affects also the scientific community. Therefore, this year one of the largest European conferences, the General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) took place virtually from 04 - 08 May.

The SUSALPS team was also represented at this new type of conference. Noelia Garcia-Franco (TU Munich) presented a poster entitled "Biotic and abiotic controls on carbon storage in aggregates from grassland soils in the Northern Limestone Alps of Germany".

Marcus Zistl-Schlingmann (KIT) presented his results on "Nitrogen use efficiency of different slurry management in the pre-alping grassland region - a 15 N tracing experiment" also with a poster.

The short term effects of re-grazing at the Brunnenkopfalm were presented by Alix Vidal (TU Munich) in the presentation "High resilience of soils to re-grazing in a long-term abandoned alpine pasture".
