First drone flight campaign in the new year

The monitoring of various grassland areas with the help of drones, which began in 2019, will be continued in 2020. We want to develop a methodology to estimate grassland parameters such as biomass and nitrogen content based on optical drone data. For this purpose, additional in-situ data will be collected by sampling in the field during further flights during the vegetation period. These in-situ data will help us to calibrate and validate models. In the future, these models can derive specific information from optical drone data alone - such as biomass maps.
