SUSALPS presented at the Jugend forscht perspective forum
From 10-12 October 2019, 35 Jugend forscht Alumni met at the environmental research station Schneefernerhaus for the perspective forum "Climate Change in the Alpine Space". The participants were introduced to the topic with two lectures. Riccardo Scandroglio from the Technical University of Munich gave a lecture on "The search for water: detection of hydrostatic pressures in alpine permafrost areas - first experiments". Anne Schucknecht from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Campus Alpin reported on the SUSALPS project as part of her lecture "Sustainable use of alpine and pre-alpine grassland soils in climate change". In the further course of the event, different workshops were offered to the participants. Here, the alumni could deal with specific aspects of climate change in the Alpine region.
