Grassland science exchange

Grasslands play an important role in the entire Alpine and pre-Alpine region. This is why scientists from the various Alpine countries are working on grasslands. The professional exchange across national borders is particularly important. For example, at the International Mountain Conference 2019 in Innsbruck there was also a workshop on grasslands, at which several members of the SUSALPS team attended.

On 19 and 20 September 2019, the KIT/Campus Alpin welcomed two scientists from the Italian National Research Council (CNR) to discuss current grassland projects with them. In the best weather conditions, we visited the test sites in Fendt and on the Brunnenkopfalm.
